Safety & Policy for iAuto Automatic Writing Machine Rental Program

At UUNA TEK, we prioritize the safe and responsible use of our equipment. By participating in the rental program, you agree to adhere to the following guidelines and policies:

1. Equipment Safety

Pre-Rental Inspection:
Every machine undergoes a 30-point safety and functionality check before shipment, including:

  • Electrical safety testing.
  • Pen motor calibration.
  • Sensor and motherboard diagnostics.
  • Mechanical component lubrication.

Safety Compliance:
All machines meet CE/FCC certification standards for consumer electronics.

2. User Responsibilities

Safe Operation:

Use the machine in a dry, stable environment away from heat sources or liquids.

Avoid overloading the pen holder or forcing components beyond their design limits.

Disconnect power during storms or power surges.

Prohibited Actions:

Never disassemble the machine or modify internal hardware/software.

Do not use unapproved accessories (e.g., non-universal pens, third-party parts).

Avoid exposing the machine to extreme temperatures or humidity.

3. Damage & Liability

Accidental Damage:

With Insurance ($20/month): Repairs are fully covered (excluding intentional misuse).

Without Insurance: Costs for repairs/replacements are deducted from your deposit.

Theft/Loss:

Report theft/loss immediately to local authorities and UUNA TEK.

Renters are liable for full machine value ($2999) if unrecovered.

4. Security Deposit Policies

Refund Process:

Deposits are refunded within 7 business days after return inspection.

Deductions apply for:

  • Physical damage (scratches, dents, broken parts).
  • Missing accessories (e.g., pen holder, cables).
  • Late returns (see Late Fees below).

Dispute Resolution:

Itemized repair invoices and photo evidence are provided for deposit deductions.

5. Late Fees & Penalties

Overdue Rentals:

Daily Late Fee: 10% of your rental rate (e.g., $7.50/day for short-term plans).

Access Suspension: Machines are remotely disabled after 3 days overdue.

Collections: Accounts 30+ days overdue may be reported to credit bureaus.

Grace Period:

Contact us before your due date for extensions (subject to availability).

6. Compliance & Monitoring

Remote Monitoring:

UUNA TEK reserves the right to monitor machine performance remotely for safety and compliance.

Tampering with tracking or diagnostic features voids your warranty.

Misuse Consequences:

Violations (e.g., reverse engineering, illegal use) result in immediate termination, deposit forfeiture, and potential legal action.

7. Shipping & Handling

Return Shipping:

Use the prepaid label provided; failure to do so voids deposit refunds.

Pack the machine in its original box with all accessories to avoid damage.

Transit Damage:

Report shipping-related damage within 24 hours of delivery with photo proof.

8. Health & Data Safety

Ergonomics:

Position the machine on a stable, flat surface to prevent vibration or tipping.

Data Privacy:

Machines do not store or transmit user data.

Custom templates are deleted from our servers after rental termination.

9. Child & Pet Safety

Warning:

Keep the machine out of reach of children and pets during operation.

Moving parts (e.g., motors, rollers) pose pinching hazards.

10. Environmental Policy

Sustainability Commitment:

Refurbished machines are cleaned, tested, and repurposed to reduce e-waste.

Returned units with irreparable damage are recycled responsibly.

Policy Enforcement
Violations: Failure to comply with these policies may result in:

Termination of rental access.

Forfeiture of deposits or insurance coverage.

Legal action for severe breaches (e.g., theft, intentional damage).

Dispute Escalation: Unresolved issues may be mediated through [Delaware Local Arbitration Service].
