iAuto Premium Automatic Handwriting Machine Touchscreen Interface Guide

This guide introduces the core content of the iAuto Premium Automatic Handwriting Machine touchscreen interface, focusing on the main topics users need to understand for daily operation. It explains the structure and functions of the main interface, file management workflow, system settings, and advanced configuration options. Through this guide, users will learn how to monitor writing status, manage G-code files, adjust writing quality and paper handling settings, configure network and pen parameters, and understand advanced options used for calibration and troubleshooting. The content focuses on practical operation to help users achieve stable performance and consistent handwriting results.

Main Interface Overview

Main Interface Overview

The main interface is the control center of the iAuto Premium Automatic Handwriting Machine. Each numbered area corresponds to a specific function:

1.Machine Status & Control
Displays the current writing status of the machine and allows basic control operations.

2.File Management
Manage and write G-code files stored inside the machine.

3.Settings
Access commonly used system settings.

4.Advanced Settings
Less frequently used parameters, mainly for debugging. Customer operation is not recommended.

5.Help
Opens an online help page (feature under development).

6.Install Pen
When tapped, the writing head moves to the far right and the pen arm lowers to the pen installation position. The system prompts the user to install the pen. Available in both standby and writing states.

7.Add Paper
Lowers the rear paper lift tray to its lowest position so paper can be inserted. The top edge of the paper must not exceed the blue rubber feed roller. Available in both standby and writing states.

8.Pause
Pauses the current writing task.

9.Stop
Stops the current writing task completely.

10.Current Page Progress
Displays the writing progress of the current page.

11.Overall Task Progress
Shows the progress of the entire multi-page writing job.

File Management

File Management

The File Management screen allows users to organize and execute writing tasks efficiently.

1.File Entry
Each G-code file is displayed as an entry in the format: filename.extension (file size in MB, creation date). Long-press a file entry to rename it.

2.Checkbox
Select files for deletion or writing.

3.Select All Files
Quickly select all file entries for batch operations.

4.Delete Selected Files
Deletes all files selected using the checkboxes.

5.Repeat Writing Count
Sets how many times all selected files will be written sequentially. One repeat means all selected files are written once in order.

6.Start Writing
Tap to begin the writing task.

Settings

Settings

The Settings menu contains frequently used parameters that affect writing quality, usability, and system behavior.

1.Writing Speed
Controls the writing speed. Higher speeds may cause jagged lines.

  • Slow: Best writing quality, slowest speed
  • Normal: Recommended balance of speed and quality
  • Fast: Highest speed, may produce jagged edges

2.Paper Rotation
Rotates the written content by a specified angle before writing.

3.Installation Pen Position
Defines the motor height during pen installation as a percentage.

  • 0% = pen fully raised
  • 100% = pen fully lowered

A higher value keeps the pen tip farther from the paper during writing, reducing unwanted pen contact. A lower value brings the pen closer to the paper. It is generally recommended to use a higher value to prevent unintended continuous strokes.

4.Screen Off Timeout (Minutes)
Sets the duration of inactivity before the screen turns off to save power and extend screen lifespan.

5.Screen Brightness
Adjusts screen brightness from 0–100%. Higher brightness increases visibility but may reduce screen lifespan. A comfortable brightness level is recommended.

6.Version
Displays the current software version. Tap Check Update to see if a new version is available. If there are no critical bug fixes, upgrading is generally not recommended.

7.Pen Capacity
Defines the writing length (in meters) of a new pen refill. The machine tracks pen usage and determines when replacement is needed.

Auto Learning Logic:

  • When pen capacity is set to 0, the system enters learning mode.
  • In learning mode, the machine will not automatically prompt for pen replacement.
  • Users must manually observe when the pen runs out.
  • Once the pen is exhausted, tap Install Pen on the main screen. The machine records the maximum writable distance as the pen capacity.

Usage Method 1 (Auto Learn):

  • Click Auto Learn
  • Install a new pen when prompted
  • Write normally
  • When the pen runs out, tap Install Pen on the main screen

Usage Method 2 (Manual Learning):

  • Click Custom Capacity and set the value to 0
  • Install a new pen using Install Pen
  • Write normally
  • When the pen runs out, tap Install Pen again

⚠️ Due to variations in pen refills and human reaction time, it is recommended to manually reduce the learned capacity value after learning is completed.

8.IP Address & Wi-Fi Settings
Displays the machine’s local network IP address. Used for manual connection if PC software cannot automatically detect the machine. Wi-Fi Settings are used for network configuration.

9.Statistics
Displays total writing distance (in meters) and the total number of pages fed through the machine.

Advanced Settings

Advanced Settings

Advanced Settings are intended primarily for factory calibration and troubleshooting. Users are advised not to modify these parameters unless necessary.

1.Pen Homing Sensitivity
Controls the sensitivity of the pen-lift motor during homing. The motor detects increased current when resistance is encountered, indicating the home position.

  • Lower values = lower sensitivity (may cause shaking and failure to stop)
  • Higher values = higher sensitivity (may cause the pen arm to stop moving)

Factory settings are optimized and usually do not require adjustment. If misconfigured, adjust from higher values downward. A recommended default value is 20. Tap Apply to save settings.

2.Error Log
Displays error logs generated during software crashes or abnormal behavior. Please send error logs to our support team to help improve system stability.

Conclusion

The iAuto Premium Automatic Handwriting Machine touchscreen interface is designed for professional, high-volume handwriting tasks with precise control and flexible configuration. By understanding each menu and setting, users can achieve optimal writing quality, efficient workflow management, and long-term system reliability.
